Using the Scope modules '+Add' button, you can import tasks from a file or clone the scope of a selected Box.

Both cloning and import functionalities are also available in the Gantt module (for more information follow the corresponding links). Additionally, the Gantt module allows you to manually create tasks and sub-task, giving you more options (such as adding Basic Tasks and using Task Templates).

To unlock import features install BigTemplate App from the Atlassian Marketplace.

Clone existing scope

When cloning the scope it is very important to select a project with the same or at least a similar configuration so that the cloned issues resemble the source data as far as possible. When the App is unable to create a specific issue type, the default issue type as defined in the project configuration will be used.

To open the clone scope dialog click the "+add" button and select 'Clone existing scope:

More information on what gets cloned and possible problems can be found on the following page.

Include existing tasks from a task source

You can add existing tasks to a Box by adjusting its scope definition. Items that already exist in tools such as Jira and Trello can be included in your Box.

Go to: Add task > Manage scope definition to make adjustments.
