Setting up the Board using scope synchronization templates
The templates can be used to facilitate the setup of the Program's Board module. Board module can synchronize a scope of created Time-boxes (Program Increments and Iterations) with Jira bidirectionally. Synchronization template sets default settings to:
- newly created,
- existing, but not configured (the field value of a synchronized field is empty),
- Time-boxes of a given type (e.g Iteration).
In Shared mode, all teams have the same configuration, while in a Team specific mode, each team can use a separate one.
Synchronization of Program Increments is a BigPicture Enterprise feature.

| Auto configuration | Let the app setup all the sprints and configure the new boxes automatically. In Jira, Sprints can be created only on Board, hence, when using the "Sprint" field to synchronize the Iteration level boxes, a "Default board" is required. The app can create Sprint automatically when the "Auto-configuration" is selected in Team specific mode only if the Team's board are selected in Team configuration. When "Any Jira Board" option is selected, the auto configuration will not work. |
