Creating project baselines
Once the Program (or Program box) schedule is ready you can create a Baseline schedule. An enabled Baseline creates 'phantom' tasks or a 'footprint' of the initial plan.
Any changes in task's schedule can be visualized on the timeline in comparison to a baseline so you can compare the current position of Start and End dates with the original values.
You can create baselines for all tasks or selected tasks only.
Once created, the baseline will be updated in all of the Programs. It is important to note that the Baselines can be stored using Custom Fields selected in the Global configuration - Task configuration, therefore they can be mapped to Jira. You can edit these values directly using the Jira issue edit dialog at any time.
Viewing project baselines
Baselines can be viewed on the timeline when enabled. The base line is indicated with the bold line.
